JConcepts has introduced the new RM2 Mushroom Scuff Pads, a tire-preparation accessory designed to make cleaning and preparing RC tire beads easier before mounting. The new pads attach to a compatible rotary tool and provide a convenient alternative to traditional sandpaper or sanding drums.
Each pad features a cylindrical abrasive surface mounted on a shaft. The design allows users to lightly scuff the tire bead, helping remove surface residue before applying tire glue. JConcepts says the padded material provides a less aggressive alternative to conventional sanding drums, reducing the chance of digging too deeply into the rubber.
Two versions are available. The green RM2 pad features a more aggressive abrasive material intended for tires with heavier surface residue, while the red RM2 pad provides a lighter abrasive action suited to softer compounds and tires requiring less preparation. Both versions are supplied in packages containing 10 pads.
